Tale Be Told Theatre
Inspired by the real-life experiences of families living in temporary accommodation, a new play that lifts the lid on what it really means not to have a home to call your own.
From the little things that you’d never believe, to the dark humour that keeps you going, it reveals the human truth behind the statistics.
Tale Be Told Theatre uses humour and storytelling to inform and raise awareness of social issues. We abandon the fourth wall, ensuring that the people at the heart of the stories we tell have their voices heard- loud and clear. Verbatim-led, our work borders on the surreal to mirror the absurd situations that people suffering a crisis find themselves in.
“One of the most moving and though provoking pieces of theatre I have ever seen.”
“Excellent. It informed me and had an emotional impact. Reminded me of ‘I, Daniel Blake.’”
“Will have you laughing and crying at the same time.”
“The show gives a true insight into the struggles of homelessness, absolutely spot on performance with raw emotion.”
“Really moving and terrifying insight into a broken housing system.”
